Le primarie di domenica non sono state un traguardo, ma l’inizio di un nuovo percorso politico, che dovrà essere partecipato e condiviso. Priorità, strategie e programmi per la prossima campagna elettorale non saranno definiti al chiuso di una stanza, magari con l’aiuto di qualche addetto ai lavori. Insieme alla coalizione che mi sosterrà, mi presenterò ai cittadini con una scelta di metodo ben riassunta da una frase che prendo in prestito da un’email di Maria Rosa, una volontaria che ha lavorato alla mia campagna per le primarie: “Abbandonare la politica delle stanze chiuse partendo dai bisogni e dalla partecipazione delle persone”.
A questo riguardo, abbiamo una grande responsabilità. Chi ha votato alle primarie domenica scorsa ha deciso che a Trento si può ancora aver fiducia nella politica. Ma noi quella fiducia ce la dobbiamo meritare trasformando il centrosinistra autonomista di Trento in un laboratorio, capace di far coesistere culture e appartenenze, di elaborare una visione comune, di fare squadra sui progetti concreti e sulle cose da fare. Qui non si tratta di negare le differenze, ma di fare quello che Barack Obama asked the Americans: "To celebrate our diversity in all its complexity and at the same time continue to support our common bonds." This is why every member of the coalition that will support me in May will be crucial, not only from the electoral point of view. Will be decisive for the sensitivity that is bringing to the issues that will put the focus of debate (whether social, environmental, cultural ...), for the people it represents. It is not difficult, I believe, to find a synthesis, where it will be to guide the search for the good of our community.
Two more thoughts. The first concerns the dramatic crisis that has affected the economy of Trentino. The campaign there can be no election to lose sight of the real life, that of those who no longer work, to those who are laid off, to those who struggle to make ends meet. We must act quickly and well, also because our autonomy gives us more resources than the rest of Italy. It 'just in difficult times that the policy must be able to reaffirm its role, which then is to find solutions, to help those in need, find ways out. The ombudsman Donata Borgonovo King has rightly noted in an interview all'Adige that "unfortunately, the politicians are perceived as people who use languages \u200b\u200bother than logic and citizens and do nothing instead of dealing with the problems of the people. " This is exactly what we are not and do not want to be. But, of course, we will prove it on the ground.
The other argument relates to young people, as has been observed, the primaries have not taken part in some mass. In this regard, let me quote again one of the messages that I have arrived in recent days, a few heartfelt lines sent by a former pupil moved to Grenoble with her husband. "We make casual research, hoping to return to Italy sooner or later," he writes without hiding a bit 'of bitterness about how things are going in the beautiful country. Another "brain drain", in short, that l’Italia ha formato e che poi - non per scelta, ma per necessità - è andato a “produrre” altrove. Proprio i giovani, la loro formazione, il precariato devono essere ai primi posti della nostra agenda politica, perché non possiamo condannare un’intera generazione all’incertezza e al pessimismo. E dobbiamo riuscire anche a far tornare ragazze e ragazzi a spendersi per un’idea, a confrontarsi sul futuro, a passare dall’io al noi, che poi è la vera dimensione della politica. Certo, questi non sono risultati che si ottengono aggiungendo un punto al programma e neppure approvando una delibera. Ma dobbiamo provarci lo stesso, innanzitutto impegnandoci tutti in prima persona per una politica meno cinica e less self-referential.
